How to Play Blackjack
In Blackjack, your goal is to get a hand value as close to 21 as possible, without exceeding it. You are playing against the dealer.
Card Values
- Number cards (2-10) are worth their face value.
- Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are each worth 10.
- Ace can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on which value helps your hand more.
How the Game Works
- First, place your bet using the buttons below.
- Click 'Deal Cards' to start the game.
- Both you and the dealer receive two cards. One of the dealer's cards is hidden.
- You can choose to 'Hit' to receive another card, or 'Stand' to keep your hand as it is.
- If your hand value exceeds 21, you 'bust' and lose the game.
- Once you stand, the dealer reveals their hidden card and continues to hit until they reach at least 17.
- The winner is the player with a hand closest to 21 without going over.
Special Rules
- Blackjack: If your starting hand is an Ace and a 10-value card, you win 2.5x your bet.
- Dealer Blackjack: If the dealer has blackjack, you lose unless you also have blackjack, in which case it’s a push (draw).
